The Kitchen Talks were a really sounding event that were during the cold war. As the title says it there are actually talks that both  Nixon and Khrushchev have a “kitchen debate” . This episode was one of the best known debated in the cold war. They took place during 1959. Vice president Nixon and Khrushev had a really sounding debate, the debate was on communisim and capitalisim.

This all started in the year 1958 when both of the parties decided that they would do a national exhibition on both the counries, and they showed a counter top of a really luxorious kitchen in the US. They did that in order for everyone to think that all americans live that way.

During the showing of this houses what they would do is that they got into a really intense debate, a debate about communisim and capitalisim. The debate got really intense because both of them defended one side.

There is something that really cought the attention of the soviet leader, when Nixon introduced him to the color TV set that was showcassed in the house, after that Khrushchev refaired to the TV as “Captive Nations Resolution” (History Channel, Nixon and Khrushchev have a “kitchen debate”)
